Project Brief

Diyas Decoratives is a handicrafts, toys and gift store in Bengaluru, with a physical shop in Indiranagar. It sells handcrafted wooden toys, brass, home decor, festive decorations, souvenirs, stationery, furniture, handloom and jewellery, much of it GI-certified and made from natural materials, and it works with more than 275 women and rural artisan clusters. The brand wanted an online store that could sell its full range across India and share the heritage behind each piece.

Challenging

Diyas has a large and varied catalogue, from traditional toys and Gollu dolls to sarees, wall decor and brass, so customers needed to find the right product quickly without getting lost. Many purchases are gifts or seasonal, linked to festivals such as Diwali, Navratri and Christmas, so the store had to make festive and gifting collections easy to reach. And because the brand’s purpose is to support artisans, the website had to tell that story as well as sell.

Results

Diyas Decoratives now sells its full handcrafted range online as well as in its Bengaluru store. Customers can browse a large catalogue by category, festival or price, find gifts quickly and learn about the artisans behind each product, and the team manages new launches and seasonal collections directly from WordPress.
